Polybutylene terephthalate, (abbreviated as PBT), belongs to the polyester series and is composed of 1.4-pbt butylene glycol (1.4-Butylene glycol) and terephthalic acid (PTA) or terephthalate ( DMT) A milky white translucent to opaque, crystalline thermoplastic polyester resin made by polycondensation and a mixing process. Together with PET, they are collectively referred to as thermoplastic polyester, or saturated polyester.
The PBT main chain is composed of saturated linear molecules in which each repeating unit is a rigid benzene ring and a flexible fatty alcohol. The high geometric regularity and rigid part of the molecule make the polymer have high mechanical strength and outstanding chemical resistance. Heat resistance and excellent electrical properties;
