PEI granules for anti-fog lamp reflector
PEI is a kind of thermoplastic engineering resin with excellent stability. PEI has strong high temperature stability. Even non-reinforced PEI still has good toughness and strength. Therefore, the superior thermal stability of PEI can be used to make high-temperature heat-resistant devices.
PEI has strong high temperature stability. High temperature resistance, heat distortion temperature up to 220 ℃, can be used for a long time under the working temperature of -160 to 180 ℃.
Usually PEI is applied to reflectors of non-illuminated anti-fog lamps.
Injection molding process:
Drying treatment: PEI has hygroscopic properties and can cause material degradation. The humidity value should be less than 0.02%. The recommended drying condition is 150°C for 4 hours.
Melting temperature: 340～400℃ for common type material; 340～415℃ for reinforced type material.
Mold temperature: 107～175℃, the recommended mould temperature is 140℃.
Injection pressure: 700～1500bar.
Injection speed: Use the highest possible injection speed.
