聚苯硫醚的中文名称是聚苯硫醚。它具有硬脆、结晶度高、阻燃性好、热稳定性好、机械强度高、电性能优良、耐化学腐蚀性强等优点。聚苯硫醚是工程塑料中耐热性最好的品种之一。玻璃纤维改性材料的热变形温度一般大于260℃，其耐化学性仅次于PTFE。此外，它还具有成型收缩小、吸水率低、耐火性好的优点。它具有良好的抗振动和疲劳性能以及较强的抗电弧性能，尤其是在高温下。在高湿度环境下仍具有良好的电气绝缘性。然而，它的缺点是脆性高，韧性差，冲击强度低。改性后，可以克服上述缺点，获得非常优异的综合性能

PPS is a sulfur-containing aromatic polymer, the linear PPS becomes a thermosetting plastic after cross-linking at above 350 ℃, and the branched structure PPS is a thermoplastic.

The Chinese name of PPS is polyphenylene sulfide. It has the advantages of hard and brittle, high crystallinity, flame retardancy, good thermal stability, high mechanical strength, excellent electrical properties, and strong chemical corrosion resistance. PPS is one of the best heat-resistant varieties in engineering plastics. The thermal deformation temperature of glass fiber-modified materials is generally greater than 260 degrees, and its chemical resistance is second only to PTFE. In addition, it also has the advantages of small molding shrinkage, low water absorption and good fire resistance. It has the advantages of good vibration and fatigue resistance and strong arc resistance, especially at high temperatures. It still has excellent electrical insulation in high humidity environment. However, its disadvantages are high brittleness, poor toughness, and low impact strength. After modification, the above shortcomings can be overcome and very excellent comprehensive properties can be obtained.
