PBT is widely used in automotive manufacturing for the production of bumpers, carburetor components, fenders, spoilers, spark plug terminal plates, oil supply system parts, instrument panels, car ignition, gas pedals and clutch pedals, etc. PBT is in fierce competition with reinforced PA, PC and POM in the automotive manufacturing industry, with PA easily absorbing water and PC less resistant to heat and chemicals than PBT. In the case of high relative humidity and very humid, PBT is often used as modified PBT because of the plasticity reduction caused by humidity and corrosion at the electrical nodes. 80℃ and 90% relative humidity, PBT can still be used normally and well.
