For applications requiring high melt strength – applications such as blow molding and structural sheets – cultural polycarbonate can be used. A variety of new easy-flowing resins can be used to improve the processability of polycarbonate while maintaining the performance of polycarbonate. Special grades of opaque polycarbonate blends have also been produced, with improved processability, low temperature toughness and cut sensitivity. These grades include polycarbonate blends with various elastomers, polyolefins, thermoplastic polyesters, ABS and AES.
