POM为浅色不透明颗粒或粉末。其吸水率很低，24h吸水率为0.22%～0.25%，在潮湿环境中也能保持尺寸稳定性。POM具有较高的机械强度、硬度和刚度，良好的抗冲击性和蠕变性，耐疲劳性是所有热塑性塑料中最好的，并且在长期使用中尺寸稳定。其耐磨性与PA相似。
