PA12 granule for medical catheter
PA12 is also used as a nursing catheter. The mechanical properties of medical materials are particularly important. The catheter must be easy to thread, but it must not bend and never break.
PA12 has high burst pressure, good flexibility, chemical resistance, compatibility with body fluids and non-toxic, and meets the medical product requirements of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the European Union. It is the preferred material for medical catheter production.
PA12 granule drying treatment: Before processing, ensure that the moisture content is below 0.1%. If the material is stored in the air, it is recommended to dehumidify and dry at 80C for 4 to 8 hours. If the material is stored in a closed container, it can be used directly after 3 hours of temperature equilibrium.
The melting temperature of PA12 granule: 240~300℃; for ordinary materials, it should not exceed 310℃, and for materials with flame-retardant properties, it should not exceed 270℃.
