Polycarbonate is colorless and transparent, heat resistant, impact resistant, flame retardant, and has good mechanical properties at ordinary operating temperature. Compared with polymethyl methacrylate, polycarbonate has good impact resistance, high refractive index, good workability, and flame retardant properties without the need of additives.
