Low smoke PEI particle resin
PEI is amorphous, with outstanding high temperature resistance, high strength, high modulus and wide chemical resistance. It is flame resistant and has low flue gas emissions. High dielectric constant and dissipation factor, high temperature resistance, high flow.
In most grades, PEI has inherent flame retardancy without additives-extremely difficult to ignite, with a limiting oxygen index (LOI) of 47%, and meets the UL94 V0 specification as thin as 0.41 mm. According to the NBS smoke emission test, it produces extremely low smoke, and the toxicity of combustion products is not as high as that of wood.
PEI resin has inherent flame retardancy and low smoke emission characteristics. Often used in aircraft/aerospace industry internal components.
