Notes on injection molding of PC materials
1. The injection temperature is adjusted according to the molecular weight of raw materials, the shape and size of products and the type of injection molding machine.
2. The best injection speed is multi-stage injection, using slow fast slow method.
3. The injection pressure depends on the shape and size of the product. The plunger type injection molding machine is generally 100-160mpa, and the screw injection molding machine is 70-140mpa.
4. The molding cycle depends on the wall thickness and injection volume of the product. In general, the filling time is shorter and the holding time is longer. The cooling time is based on the principle that no deformation is caused during demoulding.
5. Mold temperature depends on the shape and thickness of the product. Properly increasing mold temperature is conducive to demoulding and improving product quality.
6. Post treatment of products: it is necessary to carry out post-treatment for products with complex shape, metal inserts and extremely low or high service temperature – to eliminate or reduce internal stress.
Methods: the products were put in the drying oven and heated for 10-20 min when the room temperature rose to 100-105, and then kept for 30-40 min at 120-125, and then slowly cooled to below 60.
