解决方案:
1)添加相容剂、分散剂和润滑剂,以改善纤维漂浮的问题。例如,使用经过特殊表面处理的玻璃纤维,或添加相容剂(如SOG,一种流动性好的PBT改性相容剂),通过“桥”的作用来增加PBT与玻璃纤维之间的附着力
2)优化成型工艺,以改善漂浮纤维问题。较高的注射温度和模具温度、较高的注射压力和背压、较快的注射速度和较低的螺杆转速都可以在一定程度上改善纤维漂浮问题

(c) The presence of shear force will not only cause differences in local viscosity, but also damage the interface layer on the surface of the glass fiber. The lower the melt viscosity, the interface layer will be damaged. The bonding force on the glass fiber will be smaller. When the viscosity is low At a certain level, the glass fiber will get rid of the restraint of the PBT resin matrix, and gradually accumulate and expose to the surface.
(d) Influence of mold temperature. Due to the low mold surface temperature, the light-weight and fast-condensing glass fiber is instantaneously frozen. If it is not fully surrounded by the melt in time, it will be exposed to form “floating fiber”.
Solution:
1) Add compatibilizer, dispersant and lubricant to improve the problem of floating fiber. For example, use glass fiber with special surface treatment, or add a compatibilizer (such as SOG, a kind of good flow PBT modified compatibilizer,) to increase the adhesion between PBT and glass fiber through the function of “bridge”.
2) Optimize the molding process to improve the floating fiber problem. Higher injection temperature and mold temperature, higher injection pressure and back pressure, faster injection speed, and lower screw speed can all improve the floating fiber problem to a certain extent.
