PPO polystyrene is a mixture of Noryl and GE plastics with attractive properties and high softening temperatures. Since they are mixtures of polymers, they have many additives that can be used to tailor performance and properties, Enabling the production of materials with a variety of physical and mechanical properties, from heat resistance to flame retardancy. These materials are used to increase mechanical strength in high-quality and expensive plastics such as acetone styrene copolymer (ABS), polyphenylene oxide, polyoxymethylene (POM), liquid crystal polymers (LCP) and filled glass beads.
