ABS has excellent mechanical properties, chemical stability, wear resistance, heat resistance, low-temperature impact and other properties, so it is widely used in impact modification of engineering plastics.
The blending of PBT with it can not only reduce the shrinkage of PBT, but the rubber phase contained in ABS can also increase the notched impact strength of PBT. Studies have shown that proper adjustment of the ABS structure and increasing the rubber phase in ABS to 50% to 60% can achieve toughening of PBT under low temperature conditions, while increasing the grafting rate of ABS can increase the impact strength of ABS/PBT alloys.
